The updated Colorado Real Estate approved forms - for use on or after August 1, 2024 were updated by CBA-CLE to enhance the form field functionality
 

Here's what you need to know about the new form fields:

  1. Restrict Editing is turned on to protect the document from external editing and to allow you to quickly edit the fillable form fields (the gray text boxes and check mark boxes).
  2. We recommend filling out the fillable form fields first, turning off Restrict Editing to make edits, then turning Restrict Editing back on to protect your work.
  3. How to turn off Restrict Editing to edit the form:
  • Click HERE to view a detailed PDF slideshow of these instructions.
  • Click the Review Tab in the Word document.
  • Click the Restrict Editing button.
  • The Restrict Editing panel will populate on the right side of the document.
  • Click Stop Protection at the bottom of the Restrict Editing panel.

 

  1. How to turn Restrict Editing back on:
  • Click HERE to view a detailed PDF slideshow of these instructions.
  • In the Restrict Editing panel click Yes, Start Enforcing Protection.
  • No password is required, click OK.

 

  1. Quickly fill out the form fields using your keyboard commands:
  • Tab will move forward to the next form field.
  • Shift + Tab will move back to the previous form field.
  • Spacebar will “X” a checkbox.
  1. The forms are Word Macro-Enabled Templates (.dotm) and can be utilized in two ways:
  • Double click on the file to open a copy of the template, which will need to be renamed and saved.
  • Right click on the document and select Open to open and edit the master template.
