CBA-CLE is the nonprofit educational arm of the

Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association.

As we come out of the COVID lockdown and work-at-home environment, we will begin to schedule in-person meetings and events. This is the logical next step in the member and staff safety first approach we have followed over the past year. While we have, periodically, scheduled very small staff and member in-person meetings throughout the year and have followed best safety practices at all times, as larger numbers gather it will be necessary to abide by established guidelines. Following are those guidelines, which should be considered minimum safety steps and are subject to change at any time depending upon Federal, State, and Local requirements and recommendations.

Health Authorities

Our primary guide to permitted in-person gatherings and protocols attendant to those gatherings will come from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (“CDPHE”) and County and Local restrictions and orders. We will also closely consider guidance from the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) in establishing in-person meeting protocols.

General Guideline

For all in-person events, all CDPHE, County, and Local restrictions and public health orders must be strictly followed.

For your own safety, the safety of others, and in an effort to provide everyone with the most rewarding in-person meeting and event experiences possible, we request that you attend a CBA, DBA, or CLE meeting or event only if you have been fully vaccinated. All attendees must wear masks for indoor meetings and events unless attendees can maintain a distance of six feet from each other, in which case masks may be removed. Masks may also be removed, briefly, by an attendee when they are speaking, eating, or drinking.

Specific Requirements

  • For all in-person meetings and events a release in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A must be agreed to as part of the registration process or executed by each attendee at or prior to the time of the meeting or event.
  • Mask and social distancing protocol during any meeting or event will be determined based upon current CDPHE, County, and Local restrictions and public health orders and CDC guidance in place at the time of the meeting or event.

Consideration Regarding Meetings/Events at Other Venues/Facilities

  • Meeting or event planners/chairs must confirm with the venue that all CDPHE, County, and Local restrictions and public health orders will be strictly followed and monitored by the venue.
