About the Book:

Rights and Obligations: Colorado Landlord-Tenant Law From the Perspective of a Tenant Advocate covers the obligations and remedies of both landlords and tenants, along with the essential steps for practitioners through the eviction process. Written by experts in the area housing disputes, Karin M. Troendle and Alex Witteveld of Colorado Legal Services, this handbook includes issues such as:

          • Stalking and sexual assault in the domestic violence protection statute
          • Notice requirements for employee housing
          • Procedures for removal of squatters
          • Colorado Mobile Home Park Act and the laws surrounding mobile home evictions
          • Time in demand for possession cases
          • Bedbugs

This handbook generally does not deal with public housing, Section 8, or other federally subsidized landlord-tenant situations.
