The New Tax Act
Jeremy Wysocki will begin the afternoon by discussing tax changes for the individual. He will give a summary and will also address the extension of the Alternative Minimum Tax relief. He will also include a discussion of the extension of individual tax rates, unemployment insurance, and the temporary employee payroll tax cut.
Next, Eric Zinn will discuss changes that will affect businesses, including business credits, recovery periods, and accelerated deductions. Eric will also talk about how the new Act affects S Corporations.
Gil Rosenthal will wrap up the afternoon with trust and estate issues. He will provide a summary of the changes in the estate gift tax, and let you know about the action items general practitioners need to know.

Eric J. Zinn is Tax Counsel at Krendl, Krendl, Sachnoff & Way, PC. He represents clients in matters involving corporate, individual, and partnership taxation, state and local taxation, and corporate mergers, acquisitions and finance. Mr. Zinn is active in the Tax Section of the Colorado Bar Association and is a frequent lecturer on topics including the proper choice of legal entity for the operation of a business enterprise, drafting operating agreements for limited liability companies, international taxation, partnership taxation, and like-kind exchanges. Mr. Zinn is also the author of Colorado Limited Liability Company Forms and Practice Manual (Data Trace Publishing).
Gil B. Rosenthal is a partner at Krendl, Krendl Sachnoff & Way, PC. He has a broad-ranging domestic and international corporate practice, focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases, private equity investments and loan transactions. Gil works extensively with the structuring and formation of limited liability companies and other alternative entities for use in joint ventures and other complex business arrangements. In addition to his corporate practice, Gil also represents individuals in the full range of estate planning, tax and probate matters.
Jeremy S. Wysocki is a partner at Krendl Krendl Sachnoff & Way, PC. He practices in the areas of general corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, nonprofit organizations, and estate planning. Jeremy is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Texas. Jeremy is a member of the Executive Counsel of the Tax Section of Colorado Bar Association.
