Megan Brand

Megan Brand is the Executive Director of CFPD-Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities. Megan began her service at CFPD in 2003 and has been the Executive Director since 2010. Megan has a bachelor's degree in social work from the College of St. Benedict and 20 years of experience in working with people with disabilities, their families, service providers, attorneys, trustees, financial planners, guardians and other professionals. She leads a staff of 27 in administering the largest and longest-standing locally managed pooled trust in Colorado, as well as providing a myriad of fiduciary and case management services that offer protection, personalized attention, access to our network of organizations and services, and financial and benefit's guidance. In addition to leading the staff, Megan currently serves on the board for the National Planned Lifetime Assistance Network and Community Living Alternatives and is a frequent presenter in the community, both locally and nationally, on Special Needs Trusts and related topics.

Bradley J. Frigon, Esq., has extensive experience in trusts and estates, estate litigation, probate, elder law, guardianship and conservatorships, public benefits, special needs planning and long term care planning. He received his J.D. in 1981 from Washburn University and his LL.M. in taxation in 1982 from the University of Denver. Mr. Frigon is past president of NAELA, appointed member of the Special Needs Alliance, a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP), a NAELA Fellow, a member of the Colorado Bar Association, a member of the Wyoming Bar Association, a Fellow in the Kansas Bar Association, a board member of the Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities, and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Mr. Frigon is an adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law. In addition to his practice, Mr. Frigon is a frequent presenter to attorneys, certified public accountants, and financial planners on elder law, estate planning, special needs trusts, individual tax planning, and public benefit and tax issues. A nationally recognized speaker, Mr. Frigon has also been quoted in numerous national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, MSN Money, Consumer Reports, The Miami Herald, Daily Herald (Chicago), and Kiplinger's Retirement Letter. He is the author of many published articles, and he is the co-author of Fundamentals of Special Needs Trusts (Matthew Bender 2009).
