Doulas encourage and facilitate important and often difficult conversations that address the practical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of dying including options like decreasing pain through breath work, planning a celebration of life, holding space for grief, demystifying the uncertainties, and guiding reverent bodycare. Doulas do not give legal or medical advice. A doula’s offering is catered to the unique concerns and needs of the person approaching their death, while supporting those who are giving care. Learn about End-of-Life doulas and the support they can bring to dying individuals and their families.
