Program Description:

With the COVID-19 pandemic, we are facing a serious situation, and it is changing rapidly. The information available to us is overwhelming about how to stay safe, what to do in case of exposure, and how businesses should respond. You have likely found yourself working from home. If you’re not used to working from home every day, you may be discovering it is more challenging than you anticipated—

- If you have young children, they are at home because their schools have been closed. How are you supposed to finish your work with a noisy full house?

- If you have traditionally worked at the office, your makeshift home office may be standing at the kitchen counter typing on your laptop with your right hand, and eating a donut with your left, with the television blaring in the background. What are the best ways to set up a proper workstation?

- If you’re used to walking down the hall to brainstorm ideas with your colleagues, you may feel isolated and lonely. What tools are available to stay connected with your coworkers?

Meet Your Presenter:

Mike Drumm, Esq., has been running a completely remote law firm since 2010. His virtual law firm, Drumm Law, has 23 employees. Before founding Drumm Law, Mike wore a suit and tie every day and worked at a large national law firm (he is grateful that he no longer has to wear the “lawyer costume” every day). He is most proud of being a father of three and of hearing “you don't remind me of a lawyer” when he meets people. Mike is continually recognized as a Franchise Times magazine Legal Eagle, and 1851 Franchise Legal Player. He is a designated Certified Franchise Executive by the International Franchise Association and has received commendation from Super Lawyers. Mike has given presentations on intellectual property, distribution and franchise law across the country. Mike attended law school at the University of Texas and a semester at University College London (he visited 15 countries while “studying”). Mike obtained a BSBA in Business Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is admitted to the state bars of Texas and Colorado. Mike is also the founder of Party O' Clock, a DJ company.
