How to Spot a Liar - Replay Denver
December 2017
How to Spot a Liar
Co-sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association Litigation Section
Program Description:
During all aspects of any kind of interview, vital information is being conveyed from one person to another in a myriad of subtle ways. This half-day program is designed to help you recognize when a person’s answers might be deceptive. Then you will learn additional techniques to help you drill down to the true answer—whether it be in a client interview, deposition, mediation or trial.
Your speaker, Doug Cash, is a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI). He has more than 27 years of law enforcement experience and has conducted hundreds of interviews under many circumstances. Mr. Cash will discuss the causes of deception throughout an interview, where deception originates, forms of communication, stress response states, and the differences between deception and lies.
