On Depositions in Colorado

September 2005

Spend another great day learning the essentials of deposition practice in Colorado!  Not only will you receive instruction from Colorado's leading litigators, but you will also receive CBA CLE's newest publication, On Depositions in Colorado, as your course materials.
Our program begins with an introduction to the deposition process and practical advice on how to prepare your client, the plaintiff or the defendant.  The morning continues with a discussion on the basics of taking a deposition, objections, and what to do with the not-so-truthful deponent.  The morning continues with a look at the custom and practice of depositions in Colorado and the role of the insurance adjuster.  As a bonus to the program, we have included a brief ethics segment.
After lunch the program picks up with how to depose the expert witness, Rule 30(b)(6), and preparing for trial.  You will also hear from the bench on their views of when to involve the court.  After attending this program, you will gain all the confidence you need in order to prepare for your next deposition.
