Program Description:

As one of Colorado's newest legal specialties, the law of Medical Marijuana is constantly evolving at the local, state, and federal levels.  Matters involving Medical Marijuana include criminal prosecutions, administrative and licensing, land use, domestic/divorce/child custody, employment, civil rights, and business/civil litigation.  This program will be a practitioner's overview to handling a Medical Marijuana case, with emphasis on criminal defense, but also including discussion of civil and domestic matters, since these are all connected.  The program will be taught by Colorado's most experienced Medical Marijuana litigator, Robert J. Corry.

Topics will include pretrial investigation and discovery, pretrial motions, expert witnesses, privileges particular to this subject, trial strategy and tactics, jury selection, jury instructions, probation issues, forfeiture, appellate law, employment discrimination, family law and child custody, intersection of state and federal law, House Bills 10-1284 and 11-1043, Senate Bill 10-109, Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division Rules, Department of Public Health and Environment Rules, and others.  The program will include comprehensive practical written materials that can be used immediately by the practitioner.  It is a must for anyone handling Medical Marijuana cases.
