Neurology for Lawyers: Understanding Basic Neurological Medicine and Its Application to Evaluating Injuries, Treatment and Recovery

Welcome to the world of neurology! Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury specialist Dr. Allison Gray will explain the medicine of neurology and describe how neurologists identify and evaluate injuries. The program will focus on the more significant neurological injuries, like spinal injuries, concussion, organic brain injury and triggers for disease processes like Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. Dr. Gray will cover diagnostics methods, explore the potential for and the limits of meaningful prognosis, and review current and evolving treatments. Attorney Larry Cohen, a nationally-recognized lecturer and one of our most popular presenters, will address how lawyers use their knowledge of medicine in evaluating cases, pretrial discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial and arbitration presentations.
