Social Media Ethics
Social media is everywhere. Individuals and businesses use it to communicate, investigate, advertise and store electronic information (ESI). Not surprisingly, attorneys and law firms do as well. Social media use by attorneys must, however, be considered in terms of the ethical rules that govern attorney conduct which impacts the ability of attorneys to use it to advertise, give legal advice, communicate, research jurors, report on juror misconduct, and gain evidence. This session will explore how the rules of professional conduct address these topics.
Presented by Former U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald J. Hedges, Dentons US LLP
