Program Description
Litigation - A lawsuit. Legal action, including all proceedings therein. Contest in a court of law for the purpose of enforcing a right or seeking a remedy. A judicial contest, a judicial controversy, a suit of law. BLACK'S LAW DICTIONARY

Not all paralegals work in the litigation arena, but every competent paralegal regardless of their practice area must have knowledge and understanding of litigation fundamentals and skills;
