Policing the Police: A Path Forward - Webcast

June 2020

Policing the Police: A Path Forward

Brought to you by Sam Cary Bar Association & Young Lawyers Division

Highlights:

- Raise awareness about pressing social issues pertaining to race and policing
- Provide resources and information pertaining to social justice reform and advocacy.

Program Description:

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

From recent events involving police brutality towards African Americans, to a long history filled with inequality for people of color, it is evident that American society must undergo social justice reform to indeed be a place filled with "liberty and justice for all."

Join the Sam Cary Bar Association as they tackle the issues of race, police brutality, and other pressing challenges that need to be addressed for positive social justice changes to occur here in Colorado.
- Examining Policing through a Historical Lens
- Looking at the Present Challenges
- Searching for Solutions
