April 2014

Civil Procedure Update: 2013 Annual Survey of Colorado
Co-Sponsored by the CBA Litigation Section

Program Description:

In this seminar, Mr. Rackham provides an overview of developments in Colorado's civil procedure law in 2013:

· Changes made to the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure in 2013, which include substantive and technical alterations. These range from changes to the service of process rule, to changes to electronic filing, to changes to some of the forms appended to the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure.

· Important decisions from the Colorado Supreme Court involving
the scope of discovery, privileges, and jurisdiction.

· Important decisions from the Colorado Court of Appeals that involve civil procedure issues such as scope of initial disclosures, in personam jurisdiction, intervention, standards applicable to failure to pay a jury fee, and standing.

Colorado litigators should become familiar with the case-law developments because they may have material consequences on active and future cases in Colorado.

Presented by Troy R. Rackham, Esq.
