Using a Trial Notebook/Presentation Technology
February 2008
Part 1 of 9 of the 2008 Litigation Bootcamp II Series
Using a Trial Notebook and Trial Management ⁄ Presentation Technology
Program Description
The old expression, “fail to plan, plan to fail,” is never more true than in the litigation context. Learn how to create a trial notebook that gives you an effective road map and game plan for the presentation of your case. A well-designed, well-organized trial notebook will keep you calm, cool, and collected as you proceed through trial because it provides the guidance and reference points you need at each stage of the proceedings. The notebook will ensure that you have key information at your fingertips when you need it. In addition, a well-designed trial notebook will ensure that you introduce the right evidence, at the right time, to prove each element of your case.
In addition, trial management technology, including litigation management and trial presentation software, is becoming more and more common in Colorado's courtrooms. Many courtrooms are now “pre-wired” for audio⁄visual aids. Learn how to take advantage of this technology to make a bigger impact on the judge and jury in your next trial!
