Juvenile Law: Fundamentals of D&N and Delinquency
Whether you are new to juvenile law, touching on these issues in your current practice area, or just want a refresher, this program will get you up to speed on important juvenile law basics. The morning will focus on Dependency and Neglect issues, including: investigation and petition; adjudication; disposition and treatment planning; permanency planning; termination of parental rights; and appeals. The afternoon will start with a look at truancy, and then will focus on Delinquency issues, including: offenses; defenses; Social Services involvement; GAL involvement; sentencing options; mandatory sentence; and youth charged as an adult offender.
