Juvenile Law Hot Topics

This popular annual program focuses on some of the hottest issues facing juvenile law practitioners today.  Our expert presenters will explore such difficult areas as developmental disabilities and juvenile competency.  Appeals in both delinquency and dependency & neglect (D&N) cases will also be presented.  Issues in education such as school discipline and 504 plans are critical to know about in our current culture.  Linking animal cruelty and child abuse is one of the more cutting edge topics that will be discussed.  Then you will learn about the challenges encountered by juveniles in emancipation after foster care.  An important case law summary will be presented as well.  You will also be provided with an invaluable resource list from the Court!  Finally, don't miss the opportunity to network with the CBA Juvenile Law Section Officers during the lunch break.  Register today!
