E-mail, networks, software . . . .do you know how they all work together?  Have you wanted to learn more about technology but did not know where to begin?  Then begin with this great new program, “Introduction to Technology Law,” and let our experts take the fear out of turning on your computer!
 
Our program begins with an examination of the underlying technology.  In learning the law, you need to know how e-mail, websites and software are developed and implemented.  Next, you will learn computer networks and protocols.  The morning ends with a segment on drafting and negotiating software and other information technology contracts.  Not only will you learn what the essential contractual clauses should contain, you will also receive insightful practical advice on the dos and don'ts for drafting and negotiating.
 
The afternoon starts out with an overview of open source software licensing.  Open source software has been all over the news lately.  Do you know why it is important to your technology practice?  Let our expert explain.  The day concludes with a look at the federal technology transfer process.
