IP AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS:
We are pleased to announce that Deputy USPTO Director Sharon Barner has agreed to speak at the 2010 Rocky Mountain IP Institute. Ms. Barner formerly served as the head of Foley & Lardner's IP where she gained widespread national respect for her practice and leadership of the IP community. At the USPTO, where she also serves as Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property, she works closely with Director David Kappos on modernizing the agency.
Deputy Director Barner will speak at IP Institute during the luncheon on Friday, June 4 on the topic 'The Emerging Worldwide Patent Framework and How US Companies Can Adapt,' and will be available to take questions from the audience.
We are excited that Deputy Director Barner has agreed to join us. Her participation confirms the IP Institute as the leading intellectual property event for intellectual property professionals in the western United States.
