Program Description:
 
Are you new to the practice of intellectual property law? Kick off 2013 by attending “Nuts and Bolts of Intellectual Property Practice.”  Whether you are a newly or recently minted IP attorney, or simply contemplating entering the IP arena, this full-day CLE program will provide you with practical, foundational basics in the day-to-day practice of IP law.  This program is not about learning IP law - it is about learning to be an effective IP lawyer.
 
In addition to presentations from experts on the nuts and bolts of patent, trademark, and copyright practice, sessions will feature talks from Magistrate Judge Mix on how to interact with the Court and Judge Carparelli on professionalism in the workplace, an in-house panel on interacting with clients, and experts on the current state of the job market and how to have a fulfilling legal career.
