This presentation will cover the basic global transfer pricing rules and regulations, with a focus on the United States. We will then explore how these rules and tax planning is evolving in light of the additional documentation requirements drafted by the OECD and endorsed by the G20 members in November, 2015.  The presentation will allow you to highlight potential planning pitfalls and identify possible areas of risk with your clients.

Meet Your Presenter:
 
Kari Thiessen leads the transfer pricing practice area of EKS&H. Ms. Thiessen has assisted numerous clients in all areas of transfer pricing including developing and implementing transfer pricing policies, preparing documentation studies and performing tax efficient structuring related to operational changes in the business for over  20 years. She has 18 years of transfer pricing and valuation experience at a Big 4 firm prior to joining EKS&H. Her transfer pricing experience includes documentation for all transaction types, intangible property migration strategies, audit defense, benchmarking assistance, and risk assessment and minimization. Ms. Thiessen has extensive experience in a variety of industries, including technology, manufacturing, professional services, retail and medical devices. Ms. Thiessen is a Boston College graduate and a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Colorado and Minnesota. Additionally, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a World Trade Center Executive Committee Board Member, Treasurer. Ms. Thiessen is a Boston College graduate.
