Secrets of the Great Briefwriters & Transactional Drafting

Featuring National Speaker Ross Guberman!

Secrets of the Great Briefwriters

In this interactive workshop for litigators, we discuss drafting techniques and strategies drawn from the nation's great briefwriters, with a special focus on the briefs of Chief Justice John Roberts.

Attorneys learn new ways to narrow their focus, craft persuasive facts, and fine-tune their structure. We discuss techniques for using a more natural voice to convey complex information.

We then apply those strategies to briefs from well-known cases.

Advanced Transactional Drafting

Attorneys are tired of transactional-drafting programs that try to “revolutionize” how they write. Advanced Transactional Drafting is different. It will help you solve day-to-day drafting problems and avoid common errors and ambiguities.

We will focus on the writing challenges that matter most to transactional attorneys:
- Avoiding frequently litigated terms and phrases
- Resolving common usage problems
- Refining style and structure

Throughout the workshop, we will review and edit excerpts from well-known transactions, agreements, and disclosure documents.
