Program Description
It is almost a certainty that at some time during your practice you will need to know how to collect for a client that hasn't been paid or how to collect on a judgment that you have won… winning your case is only half the battle! Whether you are a seasoned debt collections attorney or you have never collected on a debt before, this intensive, full-day program has been designed to arm you with the latest sure-fire techniques and knowledge, so that you will emerge prepared to represent your clients to the best of your ability …and this information is presented to you by top practitioners in their respective areas of expertise!
Our faculty includes experienced debt collection attorneys who will guide you through the complicated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, teach you everything you need to know about handling a foreclosure, inform you as to how bankruptcy affects the collection of debt, equip you to handle collection issues involving secured transactions, and instruct you in the areas of pre-trial procedures and post-judgment remedies. Our faculty also includes presiding members of the bench who will advise you as to what is necessary in the areas of replevin, E-filing and County Court procedures, and who will give you useful practice pointers that you can take back to the office.
