The Annual Advanced Family Law Institute

December 2007

The Annual Advanced Family Law Insitute

The Colorado Chapter's Annual seminar is scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2007 and will be chaired by fellow, Richard Zuber. In Anticipation of the arrival of the Democratic Convention, the Chapter has exercised preemption rights by drafting fellow humorist at law, Terry Kelly, as the keynote luncheon speaker. Terry will speak on the timely topic “A Brief History of Family Law and Family Values or Why Home Schooling Didn't Work for Cain and Abel.”

The Chapter is also delighted to announce that its featured speaker at the program will be northern California fellow, Steve Wagner, a nationally recognized matrimonial and family lawyer.
Steve has agreed to tailor, for Colorado practitioners, the “Tracing Commingled Property” topic that was so warmly received in Chicago last November. In addition, Steve will be speaking on
the topic “Spouse's as Fiduciaries: An Overlooked Opportunity.”

In addition, two past Colorado Chapter Presidents and highly sought after speakers, Ron Litvak and Steve Harhai, will be imparting their wisdom to attendees. Ron will be speaking on “Colorado Cases that have Changed the Colorado Landscape of Family Law Over the Past 27 Years.” Steve, along with Ron Seigneur, C.P.A., will seek to further educate practitioners when
they present on “Advanced Business Valuations.”

Finally, not to be missed is Colorado Supreme Court Justice, Nancy Rice, presenting on “Evidence for Family Lawyers” as well as University of Denver Professor Eli Wald's presentation on “Advanced Ethics.”
