3rd Annual LLP Practicum: Updated Rules and Advanced Tools - In Person
Since the first Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals were sworn in Colorado in June 2024, the role of the LLP has continued to expand in both responsibility and opportunity. With the ability to represent clients in court under C.R.C.P. 207.1, LLPs are now expected not only to understand the law, but to apply it effectively in real time.
The 3rd Annual LLP Practicum is designed to meet that moment. This two-day program moves beyond foundational training to focus on how LLPs can build, manage, and execute their cases with confidence, from intake and client management to presenting evidence, handling hearings, and navigating ethical and professional responsibilities.
Whether you are newly licensed or have been practicing since the inaugural class, this program offers practical guidance, hands on discussion, and real-world strategies to help you refine your approach and strengthen your practice.
Program Highlights
- Step into the courtroom with confidence: Develop and present evidence, examine witnesses, and navigate hearings under C.R.C.P. 207.1
- Handle real world challenges: Work effectively with difficult clients, privilege issues, protection orders, and pro se parties
- Build a stronger practice from the ground up: Improve intake, refine your representation style, and learn practical strategies for getting paid
- Learn from leaders shaping the profession: Insights from judicial officers, experienced LLPs, and highly regarded family law practitioners

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE HAS ITS PERKS
Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. (CBA-CLE) values you and your participation in the Colorado legal community. The pandemic taught us that community building comes more naturally in person than it ever could via Zoom. Attending CBA-CLE events in person is a great way to network and meet new colleagues.
To encourage community building through in-person attendance, CBA-CLE will be holding a drawing at every live program held in the CLE Classroom, available only to in-person attendees. The winner will receive a CLE Elite Pass for 1 year (a value of $1,295 for members/$1,695 for non-members) simply by attending live.
CLE CREDITS: This program has been submitted for 16 General CLE Credits, including 2 Ethics/Professionalism Credits.
The program is accredited in Colorado. CBA-CLE staff can provide a Uniform Certificate of Attendance, and it is the attendee's responsibility to complete the accreditation outside of Colorado.
CBA-CLE will email webinar access information 24-48 hours before the program.
