Evidence and Trial Skills Bootcamp for LLPs - Webinar
Effective December 1, 2025, the Rules Governing Admission to the Practice of Law in Colorado allow Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals (LLPs) to represent their clients in court hearings for certain domestic relations matters under C.R.C.P. 207.1. LLPs are able to speak in court, explain their client’s position, and tender exhibits. LLPs can examine and cross-examine witnesses, make offers of proof, object to the testimony of witnesses, and make legal arguments.
Evidence and Trial Skills Bootcamp for LLPs explores the essential courtroom skills needed to perform these expanded duties with confidence. This one-day training combines instruction with hands-on practice led by family law attorneys and judicial officers.
Key features of this program include:
• Practical training in the skills LLPs may now use in court, including objections, hearsay, evidence, courtroom decorum, and witness examination.
• Small-group practice sessions with real-world scenarios and small group coaching.
• Attorney and judicial officer faculty offering direct guidance, demonstrations, and feedback.
• Breakout-room coaching for virtual attendees, ensuring everyone practices the skills, not just observes.
• Accessible tuition designed to support the LLP community.
LLPs will leave with concrete, repeatable techniques they can use immediately in their family law practice.
Because capacity is limited, early registration is encouraged.
