This program will consider sticky issues in procuring evidence, including:
- Handling the Smoking Gun;
- Dealing with the Client's Computer;
- Preserving Evidence versus Limiting Access to Evidence;
- Interviewing witnesses; and
- Using subpoenas.

Jerry Pratt is a founding partner of Pratt & Landry, LLP. He has over 30 years' trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. His practice includes representing lawyers in professional liability cases and disciplinary matters, and providing advice on ethical issues. Mr. Pratt has been a member of the CBA Ethics Committee since 1984 and served as chair of that Committee in 2002-2003. He also is a member of the CBA Lawyers Professional Liability Committee and has chaired that Committee since 2010.
