Legal Ethics: From Bedrock to Beacon

Program Description

Tired of the same old lectures on the ethics rules?  Looking for a fresh approach to exploring key Rules of Professional Conduct from the perspective of leadership principles and the varying dimensions of individual contribution?  Look no further, this is the program for you!

You can earn CLE Ethics credits while acquiring the tools to further your leadership skills from a most distinguished team of inspirational and proven professionals.  You will receive the substantive ethics training in terms of knowledge of the rules (the Bedrock) as they can be effectively applied to your law practice in a collaborative environment (the Beacon).

The Colorado Rules for Professional Conduct guide, control, and define many aspects of attorney-client relationships.  From loyalty and competence to communication and diligence, the ethical standards are well evolved.  But the rules also serve as waypoints for other dimensions of effectiveness: leadership principles for managing attorneys; effective lateral leadership practices for other attorneys and staffs inside firms; maintaining constructive relationships with other members of the bar; and demonstrating to clients adherence to sound management practices in the operation of your practice.  This half-day, hands-on seminar covers key Rules of Professional Conduct that have particular relevance to other dimensions of leadership and contribution.  You will learn the technical aspects of professional ethics and will leave with a roadmap for discovering how they can be applied to your leadership skills.  You will be provided selected portions of the Rules of Professional Conduct along with a descriptive bibliography of articles and books that form the basis for the leadership principles and practices discussed in the program.

This is a program that will greatly enhance your practice, and one that you will enjoy while acquiring your ethics credits… a positive opportunity that you should not miss!
