Program Description

While the practice of law is very rewarding, it is a stressful and demanding profession. Working in solo practice or a small firm presents unique challenges to a lawyer, including balancing your personal and professional life. It is important to learn how to take care of yourself in order to have a healthy lifestyle and healthy career. This training will help you understand and recognize the signs and symptoms of stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout. In addition, this training will provide you with practical ways to mitigate the damaging effects of stress. You will also learn about the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP) and the confidential resources available to you and your colleagues.
