Faculty:
The Honorable Arthur Roy joined the Colorado Court of Appeals in 1994 after twenty-five years of practicing law in Greeley and Fort Collins. He had a general solo private practice including criminal defense, simple commercial litigation, products liability, professional negligence, health law, domestic relations, civil appeals, municipal law, and wills and estates. While in private practice, he served as assistant city attorney for Greeley and Fort Collins, general counsel to North Colorado Medical Center, Inc, and special counsel to the Colorado Insurance Commissioner for the receivership of ChoiceCare Health Services. He was also an associate general counsel to the State Board of Agriculture (CSU), and deputy district attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District (Weld County). He graduated from Iowa State University (1962), University of Colorado School of Law (1969) where he was an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. He has served as an officer, Board of Governors, and numerous committees of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee since 1999. He was on active duty in the United States Army from 1963-66, briefly in the Republic of Vietnam, as a fixed wing aviator (pilot).
