Program Description:
The disqualification of a lawyer in a civil or criminal proceeding is a multi-faceted subject matter. Disqualification can be sought by a party, the court, a former client, or opposing counsel. A lawyer can be disqualified for many different reasons. The defenses a lawyer may have to his or her disqualification are also varied. This program is intended to give a useful framework for understanding the applicable law and procedure governing lawyer disqualification.
