This program will keep you sharp by updating you on some of the most important developments in employment law.  In addition, you will receive expert guidance from our experienced faculty on core practice skills such as proving non-economic damages and handling depositions!

Our program begins with a practical and focused discussion of the issue of non-economic damages in employment law cases.  The morning continues with a look at recent changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as the accompanying 127 pages of proposed regulations.  The morning concludes with a look at the unprecedented number of employment law cases on the United States Supreme Court's docket this year.  Some have been decided already, some will be decided before the program begins, and some will still be pending at program time.  Find out what's new and what to look for in the year ahead!

After a break for lunch our program resumes with look at immigration issues in employment law.  If “H-1B” and “H-2B” visa caps and the possibility of ICE raids have your head spinning, this segment of our program is for you!  After immigration comes practical guidance on recent changes to the Colorado Anti-discrimination Act that make sexual orientation and religion protected classes in Colorado.  Our program ends with tips on how to get the most out of your depositions!
