In June 2017, our nation passed the two-year anniversary on marriage equality in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.
In June 2017, the United States Supreme Court granted certiorari in the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, a case that involves a bakery owner who refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding.
In July 2017, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the State of Arkansas can't refuse to name same-sex couples on their children's birth certificates, clarifying same-sex couple's rights in light of the Obergefell decision.
