Avoiding Liability Issues for the Design Professional - LIVE IN DENVER

Program Description:

The role of the design professional in the construction industry is an important one. However, it is always one that carries with it a great deal of influence and potential for considerable risk and liability. This one-hour CLE will focus on identifying the common legal pitfalls that face design professionals on construction projects, and providing attendees with practical approaches to mitigating the design professional's liability exposure. Areas that will be discussed during this program include: sources of liability for the design professional; and managing the design professional's exposure through front-end risk analysis and contract drafting on the issues of the design professional's rights and responsibilities, damage limitation, indemnification, document ownership, and alternative dispute resolution.
