Program Description
 
Joe C. Monty, CPA, MT, Tax Manager, with Eide Bailly, LLP, will discuss how repair regulations, effective January 1, 2014, may offer significant deductions and reduce future tax liabilities for financial institutions. He will discuss the impact of the regulations on such items as previously capitalized renovations, partially disposed assets, and depreciation recapture. He will also address how to take advantage of, and to comply, with the new regulations.

Joe C. Monty, CPA, MT, Tax Manager, Eide Bailly, LLP, Denver, CO, has more than four years of public accounting experience providing tax services to a variety of industries, including banking, oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, professional services and real estate. As an engagement tax senior for an international Big 4 professional services firm, he gained extensive experience servicing middle to large market clients. He is the Repair Regulations Champion for Eide Bailly's Colorado Office, and has his Masters of Taxation from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and Daniels College of Business.
