The Intersection of Business and Personal Bankruptcy - Webinar

When small businesses struggle financially, the legal issues often extend to the owner personally, particularly where personal guarantees are involved. This program explores the challenges attorneys face when advising business owners who are considering bankruptcy. Learn to evaluate options for the business such as winding up, Chapter 7 liquidation, and Subchapter V reorganization. Examine the implications of personal guarantees and how business decisions can expose owners to significant personal liability. And understand where the interests of the business and the interests of the owner diverge, potentially creating conflicts of interests. With a practical, counseling-focused approach, the program offers guidance on helping clients understand their risks, options, and the interplay between business and personal bankruptcy strategies.
