Program Description
 
Gil B. Rosenthal, Esq., partner, Kutak Rock, LLP, will provide an overview of the increasingly popular EB-5 immigrant investor program established by Congress in 1990 to create jobs and to attract investment capital to the U.S. In 2014, total EB-5 visa usage reached the annual maximum for the first time. Mr.  Rosenthal will provide you with the basics of the program along with its history, recent developments, regional centers and legal issues.

Gil Rosenthal, Esq., a partner in the Denver office of Kutak Rock LLP, has a broad-ranging domestic and international corporate practice specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and loan transactions. He works extensively with the structuring and formation of corporations, limited liability companies and other alternative entities for use in joint ventures, international transactions and other complex business arrangements. He has counseled numerous foreign clients regarding tax efficient structures for investments in U.S. entities and has had extensive international finance experience at a senior level working with businesses and for the federal government. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rosenthal served at the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Executive Office of President. He earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in 1990, a law degree from the Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College in 1993 and an LL.M. (Taxation) from the University of Denver School of Law in 2007. He is licensed to practice in Colorado, the District of Columbia and Oregon.
