Alan Mayer, Managing Director of the Denver-based investment bank Green Manning & Bunch, Ltd., provides a look back with insight on the market, terms and types of deals that occurred in the rush to close M&A transactions in the fourth quarter of 2012 due to the uncertainty of tax rules and regulations facing sellers in 2013. Mr. Mayer also provides his thoughts on how the M&A markets will transition from the 2012 fourth quarter rush into 2013 and what he expects in the M&A markets in 2013.

Alan Mayer joined Green Manning & Bunch, Ltd. (GMB) in 2003 and focuses on transactions in the industrials sector, bringing his M&A expertise to manufacturing, distribution, transportation and logistics, and service businesses. Over the last 15 years, as an investment banking professional, he has completed numerous mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, divestitures and equity and debt financings for a wide variety of clients, including entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, private equity groups and publicly-owned companies.
 
Alan maintains his law license in Colorado and California and uses his background as a corporate attorney and senior member of management of a publicly traded company to guide his clients through the complicated M&A process. He also holds Series 7, 24 and 79 securities licenses and serves as GMB's chief compliance and legal officer. He also currently serves as chair of the Board of Directors of Jewish Family Service of Colorado, one of metro Denver's premier human service agencies.
