Mr. Kelley received his B.Sc. and LL.B (1952) from the University of Nebraska. He was a partner in Kelley Scritsmier & Byrne, North Platte, Nebraska (to which firm he is presently Of Counsel) and has practiced in Denver since 1988. He is a member of the bars of Nebraska (inactive emeritus, past chair: Probate Section) and Colorado past chair: Agricultural Law Section). He has served on the governing boards of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section and American College of Tax Counsel. He is a past regent (past chair: Technology in the Practice Committee) of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Agricultural Law Association. He is the author of The Electronic Practice (Wealth Management Press 2008), and a co-author of Estate Planning for Farmers and Ranchers (ThomsonReuters 2007), Family Business Organizations (ThomsonReuters 2007), and the Intuitive Estate Planner Software (ThomsonReuters 1998).
