About the Book:
For decades, James R. Wade's phenomenal treatise, Wade/Parks: Colorado Law of Wills, Trusts, and Fiduciary Administration, has been the go-to book for Colorado trust and estate attorneys. Mr. Wade has tirelessly contributed countless hours to the book, for which we at Colorado Bar Association CLE are grateful and appreciative.

This Ninth Edition contains statutory and case law updates, including discussions of jurisdiction over non-probate assets, use of ยง 529 plans, and claims based on marital agreements. Extensive discussion pertains to the Colorado Uniform Trust Code, which became effective January 1, 2019. Many chapters of the book were updated to include recent case law, such as Sandstead-Corona v. Sandstead, Black v. Black, Estate of Fritzler, and Estate of Brookhoff v. Clark.

We would like to thank Mr. Wade for his diligent devotion to this project, and we
would also like to extend gratitude to Barbara Cohen, who is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. They are delightful, and are always willing to offer their time and energy to make Wade/Parks a valuable tool for Colorado practitioners. We are also grateful to Steven M. Weiser, a tax attorney with Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher, LLP, who reviewed and updated Chapter 21, “Post-Mortem Estate Planning,” and Chapter 26, “Income Taxation of Trusts and Trust Beneficiaries.”
