About the Book:
The Orange Book Forms:  Colorado Estate Planning Forms is a remarkable compilation of estate planning forms designed and written by the Orange Book Forms Committee of the CBA Trust & Estate Section. Covering powers of attorney, appointment of guardian, client letters and questionnaire, and various types of wills and trusts, this book is a “must have” for every estate planning attorney.

Electronic versions of the Forms and all of the Notes on Use are included on the accompanying electronic PDF e-Book in both Microsoft Word® and WordPerfect® formats.

Some of the changes in this new revised Eight Edition include:
- Each form has been placed into chapters and renumbered to correspond to the chapter number;
- Revising the “Incapacity” clause in the will and trust forms;
- Changing the term “disability” to “incapacity” throughout the forms;
- Adding language to the “Grant” paragraph of several will and trust forms regarding the allocation of capital gains;
- Adding language to the grey box of every revocable trust regarding the necessity of utilizing a pourover will;
- Conforming cross-references and person tense to the overarching style of the book; and
- One new form was also added — a client intake questionnaire for a single person.

But the most significant change to the book was a complete overhaul of the layout.

The forms in The Orange Book are prepared by the volunteer members of The Orange Book Forms Committee of the Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association. The forms are intended to provide guidance and general suggested language to assist the lawyer in preparing estate planning documents; they are not intended to be a substitute for the exercise of the lawyer's own professional judgment in planning a client's estate. No form or language in The Orange Book should be used unless the lawyer fully understands the purpose, meaning, and tax consequences of the form and language.
