The Colorado DUI Benchbook is the definitive statement of DUI law and practice in Colorado. Each and every county judge in the state has been given this book. For every DUI practitioner in Colorado this is an essential resource. The Colorado DUI Benchbook addresses the substantive, procedural, and evidentiary issues raised in the adjudication of alcohol-related traffic offenses.

Summary of Important Updates in the 2012 Supplement:
  • Updates throughout book to reflect “Rule of 7” timing
  • General updates to most chapters (all but Chapter 5)
  • Chapter 4  was rewritten to add more recent cases and to further explore and clarify 4th and 5th Amendment analyses
  • Chapter 6 includes enlarged discussion on Confrontation Clause issues and recent, somewhat clashing US Supreme Court decisions on this topic (Bullcoming and Williams)
  • Chapter 7 was rewritten to address evidence-based sentencing throughout and provide an update on Colorado's expanding DUI/Drug courts and their policies/experience

This third edition is current through the 2012 Legislative Session.

Updates/Supplements:

Colorado DUI Benchbook is updated annually. If you are updating a book that has a date of 2009 or earlier on the front cover sheet, you must purchase a new book which includes the latest 2012 supplement. If you are updating a book that has a date of 2010 on the front cover sheet, you must purchase the 2011 (Revised) and 2012 supplements to update your book. If the front cover sheet has a date of 2011, you would just need to purchase the 2012 supplement to update your book.

Automatic Supplementation:
For your convenience, automatic supplementation is included with your order. Future supplements will be mailed automatically with an invoice at 10% off the published price. Return privileges apply and you may cancel the service at any time. You will be notified by email and post before any supplement is mailed, so you may cancel shipment before a supplement is released.
If you wish to remain off the automatic shipment list for all future supplements, please let us know at the time of your order or you can also contact the CBA-CLE book department at 303-860-0608 or email [email protected].
