Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA): What Attorneys Need to Know Out of Stock

Since its inception in July 1992, the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act (more commonly referred to as “CCIOA”) has seen many legislative changes and extensive interpretations by our courts, although the original structure has stood the test of time. This course is designed to introduce CCIOA to practitioners who are new to, or less familiar with, the Act, and provide them with a foundational knowledge of the workings of CCIOA, while, at the same time, providing a more advanced overview of selected areas of CCIOA for the more seasoned practitioners.
This full day course will cover:
- Foundation principles of CCIOA and the establishment of a community under CCIOA
- Phased developments and developer’s rights
- HOA Boards and the roles and duties of board members
- Case law interpreting CCIOA over the years since 1992
- Special issues insuring properties in a community subject to CCIOA
Home studies will be available approximately 2-3 weeks following the live program.
For your own safety, the safety of others, and in an effort to provide everyone with the most rewarding in-person meeting and event experiences possible, we request that you attend a CBA, DBA, or CLE meeting or event only if you have been fully vaccinated. Mask wearing is up to personal preference and comfort level. Masks may be required in some clinic settings. The program will be submitted for CLE accreditation in Colorado. If you need to seek accreditation in another state, please review the process and requirements for that individual state. CBA-CLE staff can provide a Uniform Certificate of Attendance, and it is the attendee’s responsibility to complete the accreditation outside of Colorado.

How to open the Zip file:
