- Offer potential strategies for dealing with them

Piercing the Veil - Increasing the Risk of Personal Liability for LLC and Corporate Debts in Colorado
Discussion of three cases from the Colorado Court of Appeals that have expanded the risk of liability for persons associated with limited liability companies and corporations in Colorado when the legislature has expressed the contrary intention.  The cases are Sheffield Services Co. v. Trowbridge (May 2009); McCallum Family LLC v. Winger (October 2009) and Colborne Corporation v. Weinstein (January 2010).
Also discussion of losing the shield for single purpose limited liability companies in bankruptcy, to the detriment of creditors (although the bankruptcy court for the Southern District of New York does not think so), In re General Growth Properties, Inc.

2010 Legislation changing CREC Forms
2010 Legislation will require changes to the contract forms.  The latest modifications and changes to the contracts will be reviewed.  Many of the Commission approved forms will change.  Approximately 30 forms will see changes.  The most significant changes are to the Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate.
