Join trust and estate planning attorney Bette Heller for a discussion of estate planning techniques for the care of animals. Ms. Heller will discuss Pets Trusts, including what provisions should be included, sample language, and when a trust is appropriate. She will also discuss other alternative methods of providing for animals when a person becomes incapacitated or dies.
Kathy Gaines, Executive Director of MaxFund Animal Adoption Center, will explain in detail one trust alternative, MaxFund’s Peace of Mind program. The Peace of Mind program is designed specifically to give pet owners (and their loved ones) one less thing to worry about while choosing to age gracefully in the company of a companion animal.
