Program Description:
Colorado lawmakers took a historic vote to approve civil unions for same sex couples, where voters banned same-sex marriage not long ago. The measure grants same-sex couples similar rights to married couples. The bill won final passage on a 39-26 House vote on March 12.
Governor Hickenlooper has signed the bill, making Colorado the eighth state that have civil unions or similar laws.
Find out how the new law will change the legal landscape of your family law or estate planning practice.
