About the Speaker:
William F. Vobach is a registered patent attorney in the law firm of Vobach IP Law, LLC. He holds a B.A. from Oberlin College, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a J.D. from the University of Denver, where he was a member of the Board of Editors for the Denver Law Review. He currently serves as a co-editor of the Intellectual Property Law column for The Colorado Lawyer, is a contributing author to CBA-CLE’s 2011 through 2016 editions of Annual Survey of Colorado Law for the Intellectual Property Law chapter, and authors an updated Patent Law chapter in The Practitioner’s Guide to Colorado Business Organizations, published by Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. From 2013 to 2015 he served on the Board of Directors for The Colorado Intellectual Property American Inn of Court.
Mr. Vobach has practiced intellectual property law in Colorado for the last 22 years. He counsels clients in all areas of intellectual property. However, his practice focuses primarily on counseling clients in the procurement and enforcement of patents, the preparation of patent opinions, and the development of intellectual property strategies appropriate for different sized clients. Mr. Vobach has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries, including software, electronics, telecom, cryptography, wireless communications, semiconductors, financial processing systems, medical devices, business methods, fuel cells, clean energy, and mechanical devices. His clientele have included Fortune 500 companies, middle market companies, start-up companies, and individual inventors/entrepreneurs.
