CLE Speaker Masterclass: Presentation and Public Speaking Skills for CLE Faculty Out of Stock

Make your presentations clear, compelling, and memorable to engage your audience and enhance your profile as a recognized legal expert.

So you’re speaking at a CLE program (or you want to get started). . .

Have you experienced “Death by PowerPoint” - that slow realization that the next hour of your life will be spent having a speaker read text to you from a slide? A dull presentation can make interesting content boring . . . and a presentation lacking creativity can flatten the discussion of even the most exciting legal concepts and developments. Learn to create and deliver compelling content to bring your presentations to life, engage your audience, get rave reviews, and raise your profile as a recognized expert in the legal community.

- Top 5 mistakes presenters make and how to fix them (Dos and Don’ts)
- Start strong and end strong (crafting introductions and closings)
- Organization, order, and timing
- Use of PPT, graphics, video, and other creative tools
- Teaching to and integrating in-person and web attendees
- Applying persuasive trial techniques to CLE presentations
- Panel discussions: the art of participating, facilitating, and moderating
- How to become a speaker or Program Chair for the CBA-CLE

Home studies will be available approximately 2-3 weeks following the live program.

For your own safety, the safety of others, and in an effort to provide everyone with the most rewarding in-person meeting and event experiences possible, we request that you attend a CBA, DBA, or CLE meeting or event only if you have been fully vaccinated. Mask wearing is up to personal preference and comfort level. Masks may be required in some clinic settings. Please be cognizant and understanding of others’ preferences and courteous to all attendees.

Depending on CDC and/or state or local health guidelines, a rise in COVID-19 cases, or other circumstances that may threaten the well-being of our attendees, CBA-CLE reserves the right to convert to a fully virtual event.

If disability accommodations or special assistance are needed, please contact us at [email protected]. Requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the scheduled program.
