K-1 Deep Dive: Understanding and Analyzing the K-1 Tax Form in Support Cases

Co-sponsored by the CBA Family Law Section

Program Description

Get your coffee and continental breakfast on and join us for an in-depth look at how to read and interpret Schedule K-1 tax forms issued to partners and business owners.  What boxes relate to "income" for maintenance and/or child support?  What boxes are irrelevant to determining "income"?  What do the partner's "capital account" entries mean?  When is a particular K-1 entry the end of the "income" inquiry, and when is it just the beginning?

A judgment free "Everything you've always wanted to know about the K-1 but were afraid to admit you don't" information session for young DR lawyers.
